TO FEEL

Are they poems or words of wisdom? I'm not sure either, but they summarise how it is to feel

This section of my blog is dedicated to the words I write in my little book besides my bed.

To Feel: About

We don't stare straight at the sun because it will hurt our eyes,
But we stare right into the sunsets that marks the end of the day,
A small appreciation of the sun, which fails to appreciate the light it made in the day,
My light may hurt you, but please appreciate me at the end of the day.

- when my sun sets

Whenever I buy flowers I forget that they've been shipped from their roots.

We enjoy their last moments of life until the petals darken and become frail.

You found me in my roots and took me to your vase

And now, I can't grow.

We went down to that lighthouse often.

The lighthouse marked danger to those in the sea.

Where was my lighthouse when I was in your sea?

Nobody knew there was danger there. Not even me.

I trusted that your waves would get me safely to shore, but an anchor dropped in the storm.

And as I sat there watching the stars, contemplating how massive the universe was, I still wondered why you were my most curious thought in the universe of the unknown

People don't understand what I mean when I say I'm confusing.

I'm like a push door with a pull label.

You really need to push to get anywhere.

Once you fall in love, you realise how easy it is to love, but underestimate how hard it is to stop loving

To Feel: Text

I asked my friends how they would describe me,

they agreed on strong and independent.

It made me miss being weak and dependent.

To Feel: Text

I watched the stars tonight,
the stars shot every few minutes,
I kept forgetting to make a wish,
but then I realised I could never have all I wished for

To Feel: Text

I try not to feel hopeless

Instead I hope less

To Feel: Text

A sat stranger on a bench.

In the park or at the station.

To some people, that is all we are and all we ever will be.

- there's beauty in strangers

To Feel: Text

With you I feel like an impossible word search,
because I can't find the words

- there's beauty in strangers

To Feel: Text

I hate what you did to me.

But what I hate more is the unrealistic expectation you set for me, in that I was

"easy to love"

To Feel: Text

With you I feel like an impossible word search,
because I can't find the words

To Feel: Text

Love is like comparing affection to cordial,

Too little and you question the point,

Too much and the water won't quench your thirst.

Life is about flavour, but that flavour should not overpower your substance.

To Feel: Text

I could've woke up in the morning and fancied toast.

You could tell me I fancied berries.

I would chose berries.

I don't like berries.

- I trusted you more than I trusted myself

To Feel: Text

You taught me one main thing: that it was easier to lie than to tell the truth.

Now people should consider it a priviledge to hear my truths.
