Who even is Lucy?

Hi there. My name is Lucy and I live. I like to think of my life as a pack of Jaffa Cakes; it's so good but times end so quickly and unexpectedly. I am in my final year of sixth form therefore this year is all about planning for university (which I am both excited and terribly nervous for). I've decided to start writing a blog because I have no hobbies besides watching Netflix and socialising.

I hate not having any hobbies. I had to use socialising as a hobby in my job interview then lied about enjoying exercise. However, I got the job so perhaps me "enjoying exercise" is the reason to as why I receive a payslip every month. Moral of the story, I started this blog to have something to do that did not bore me and would validate as a proper hobby.

Also, back in the day I wanted to be an author so why waste my past ambition and joy for writing? Honestly, I live a pretty basic life but I'd like to think I am unique. My life feels so dynamic and I feel like I am constantly adjusting to change in my life. It's hard to converse with people sometimes as they do not understand what you mean when you are expressing your emotions. A classic example at my age is "I am so nervous for university" and someone responding "Why?"; sympathising is a lot harder than it looks! And I bet I am hypocritical because I'm sure I've done this in the past.

My typical week currently includes: school, my part time job, school work, my dog, my family, my friends and my boyfriend. My life seems so boring because I don't have much time to do what I want to do. Today, I was chatting to someone who works with me and he told me he was saving to go spend a gap year in Australia next year, which sounded super cool but all I could think about was how I would never have the courage to do that. But I understand everyone is driven by different desires; which is something so clear to me at my age - next year everyone will follow a different path whether its going straight into a job, going to university or taking a year off; we are all different, which is so cool.

Personally, I feel that not talking about things is a really unhealthy habit and is what leads to people living with the wrong mindset. So through this blog I guarantee about 98% honesty and a whole load of stories that I want to share. My blog will be a safe place for me to share and express Life by Lucy :)

So ye, after reading this I'm sure you are still wondering "Who even is Lucy?", but that's up to you to find out. Read on to get closer to the answer...
